Jamaica Red
“This beer was originally brewed for the world famous Reggae on the River festival that happens every year here in Humboldt County. A malty American Amber style ale, this mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness.
Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken”. Quoted from Mad River site.

Our Thoughts:
This brew was tried against Nimbus Red Ale and a Bear Republic Red Rocket Ale. This is an important note because we do feel that depending on what is on the table strongly effects the thoughts of taste. This actually surprised me. “I know what I like and don’t like” was my comment before tasting against other brews and my original opinions were changed….
We gave this brew two and a half stars. I will drink this again. It was good. Started with a sweet smell of malt as I passed it under my nose. I took my first sip and it was not to strong with a malty taste followed by clean finish. As expected with bittering units at 42. Clean brew not over done by any means
